The lenses typically give the wearer's vision a brown or grey tint. The mirror coating decreases the amount of light passing through the tinted lens by a further 10-60%, making it especially useful for conditions of sand, water, snow, and higher altitudes. Mirrored lens are one-way mirrors.

e. Super Hydrophobic Water Resistant A/R Coatings
Super Hydrophobic coatings can repel unwanted dirt and water, and make your prescription lenses easy to clean and maintain. These coatings also reduce reflections while driving and working on a computer and make your lenses less noticeable on your face and in photographs.

g. Anti-Fog Coatings
Anti-fog coatings keep your glasses from fogging up and have all the properties of a regular AR coating. Water droplets may condense on the lenses in a low temperature, you can wipe with a regular cleaning cloth.

h. Photochromic
Photochromic lenses darken when exposed to the sunlight acting as sunglasses would, and change to clear when the wearer is indoors resorting to the normal glasses purpose.
